Functional Fitness

Tushka Fit invites you to check out our revamped functional fitness training classes!

Experience the empowering benefits of functional fitness in a motivating and challenging group training environment. Our classes are designed to support movements and actions commonly used in everyday living, fostering the ability to maintain an independent lifestyle.

Functional fitness training blends strength, mobility, endurance, cardiovascular health, balance and aesthetics. These classes also decrease injury risks by ensuring proper form.

The training follows a structured 4-day, split training focus. Each day, you’ll engage in variations and repetitions of walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, squatting and lunging, ensuring a comprehensive workout for your entire body.

Monday – lower body: squat movements (which represent the ability to rise from a chair unassisted) and incorporate core and static flexibility
Tuesday – upper body: press movements (representing the ability to lift your body from the floor without help), cardio and dynamic flexibility
Wednesday – free training/make-up day
Thursday – lower body: hinge movements (representing the ability to pick something off the floor), core and static flexibility
Friday – upper body: pull movements (representing the ability to open a door), cardio and dynamic flexibility

 

Circuit Training

Popular around the world, circuit training is an excellent way to improve cardiovascular fitness and muscular strength endurance through a series and combination of upper, lower, and whole-body exercises. Training involves 6-12 exercises where intense cardiovascular/anaerobic exercises are alternated with less intense recovering periods for recovery using a set number of repetitions or a specific amount of time and then closed with a cool down.
